Who we are  GrIETA is a private, non-profit organization  based in Mar del Plata, Argentina. Founded in  2007 by a group of ecologists and environmental enthusiasts, GrIETA aims to bridge the gap  between today's pressing conservation and  sustainability needs and the current state of  environmental knowledge and public awareness, both at the regional and global level. The  group's approach combines scientific research,  public education, and community engagement  activities oriented to increase knowledge and  public appreciation of nature and its  relationships to humans.
